Well, he probably wouldn’t be one of the greatest ever, just  go with it.

His ramblings have caught the attention of the internet and of course most everybody think’s it hilarious. I mean, quotes like:

“I am on a drug – it’s called Charlie Sheen. It’s not available because if you try it, you will die. Your face will melt off and your children will weep over your exploded body.”

can’t fail to amuse!

But some of the other things people picked up on aren’t too unfamiliar… ‘Winning’, ‘Warlock’, ‘Troll’, ‘Epic’ frequently used by Sheen. Now what other kind of people use these terms…..

Winning...

Those obsessed with internet forums/online games/anything else massively obsessively nerdy! These people are amused by Sheen’s ‘Sheenisms’ and think it’s rather amusing to mimic him, because it’s funny to joke about of course! But if these people mimicking Sheen are those who originally genuinely used these terms daily beforehand, it becomes some sort of twisted self-parody which they can’t be aware of, or just have no shame.

Oh I’m sure I went through a stage of overusing such terminology, but it passed. Actually, that probably happens in most cases, but with the extremes (why I chose the South Park WoW guy), it just becomes sad.

Which brings me to; is Sheen really mentally ill and spouting nonsense, or is he some sort of evil genius whose sole aim is to bring shame to losers wasting their lives on the internet? It doesn’t seem like a very righteous goal. I’d say leave them to it and judge them silently, but whatever.

Really though, I think he probably is wrong in the head and has no such intentional motives. He’s enjoying it too much though; repeating things like ‘Tigerblood’ because people thought it was funny at first. If he’s trying too hard to impress people with his madness, he’ll end up becoming a deranged self parody himself! It wont help that people will eventually lose interest and he’ll end up desperately trying for attention by doing even wilder things; hell, he’s already been on a rooftop swinging a machete around!

Okay, so he’s not some sort of superintelligent example setter.

My point, I used to be (moreso) a massive nerd, labelling things as ‘epic’ willy nilly and describing good things as ‘win’, and now I see others do the same and I feel embarassed for them. Maybe it’s just part of getting older, the things you used to do will probably always seem stupid after a while, but you had fun while doing them right? Sure!

Not really sure where I’m going with this now… maybe I should plan these before I write them.

Okay, so people can keep using silly nerdy phrases, up to a point! There has to be a cutoff, or else you’ll end up being a massive loser later in life…. back to the South park image.

To summarise:
Don’t abstain from things you like because they’re too loserific (up to a point!).
Only quote Charlie Sheen as long as it’s not a self parody of you, because people will think you’re extra sad.
Don’t mimic Charlie Sheen in any other way. Seriously. That guy should come with a warning.

In actual fact a colourblind person may be able to differentiate between the different shades in order to solve a Rubik’s Cube. Thus ruining the joke. Well done me.
